Parent’s role and Family Impact: Parents should know the health history of their kids and considerations or suggestions they need for designing physical activity. Parents should also know the information from reliable health sources for children’s health, like the Journal of Childhood Obesity, etc. Parents have to engage their children in sports and fitness programs and make them active.

Community Impact: In childhood, every child should have two to three times a day of active outdoor play. They should expose a minimum of two or additional structured, park or open play area services or teacher leading activities per day like games, dancing, physical activities that involve active movement whether it is indoors or outdoors.

Now, most of the major cities are designed with fewer park services and play areas in order to build corporate infrastructures, to make them business capitals. This also acts as a major reason for the increase of sedentary lifestyles in children.

Conclusion

A sedentary lifestyle is changing into a significant public health issue and global epidemic. Sedentary lifestyles seem to be progressively spreading in many countries despite being linked to a range of chronic health conditions. The higher the involvement in physical activity the lower the sedentary lifestyles risk.
